The Lane College National Alumni Association was founded in 1895. Nelson Codwell Cleaves was elected as the Association’s first president. Over thirty chapters have been formed since the organization’s inception. There are seven designated regions and they are South Central, Southern, East coast, Eastern, Great Lakes, Gulf coast and West Coast. Within the seven regions the following chapters were formed: Chicago, ILL.; Dallas, Texas; Dayton, Ohio; Detroit, Michigan; Fayette County, Tennessee; Greater Shelby, Tennessee; Hardeman County, Tennessee; Indianapolis, Indiana; Jackson, Tennessee; Las Vegas, Nevada; Los Angeles, California; Memphis, Tennessee; Metro Atlanta, Georgia; Miami, Florida; Middle Tennessee; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; San Francisco, California; St. Louis, Missouri; Tipton County, Tennessee; Toledo, Ohio; and Tupelo, Mississippi.
